Velis Vineyards answer to French Bordeaux wines. The ‘Reserva Cuvée’ consists of the classic grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. With the utmost care, the grapes are selected in the vineyards as well as on arrival in the winery on a vibrating table, so that only the best grapes are used for the wine. Depending on the vintage, we decide in which proportions the grape varieties are blended together to highlight the best of the grapes. A special feature is that, unlike Bordeaux, Velis Vineyards can add Petit Verdot to the blend annually, as the grapes ripen every year due to the good climatic conditions. The small-berry Petit Verdot grapes provide a special note in the red wine and round it off perfectly.
The aging of the Reserva Cuvée takes place for at least 12 months in French oak barrels, followed by an aging period of another 12 months on the bottle before the wine is on the market for sale.
